The process is straightforward. Before your session, we'll agree on a meeting place and select a setting that suits your specific needs.
We typically opt for local parks or walking trails, choosing ones that are relatively flat and easy to navigate, ensuring there are no challenging hills or slopes.
Depending on your health and comfort, we'll walk for approximately 50 minutes, engaging in meaningful conversation throughout. If you need a break, we can pause anytime and continue our session seated under a shady tree or on a park bench. This flexibility allows for a relaxed and adaptive therapeutic experience.
Conducting our therapy sessions outdoors brings a few potential challenges, such as encountering others nearby.
If people approach, we have the option to pause our conversation until they have passed, maintaining the confidentiality of your session. Once a suitable distance is regained, we will resume our discussion.
Additionally, there's a possibility you might see someone you know, like a friend or family member. It's entirely up to you how you wish to interact in such instances. However, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. Before we venture outdoors, we'll thoroughly discuss and assess any risks associated with Walk and Talk therapy to ensure you feel secure and informed throughout your session.
