Reiki Wellness

 

When life feels out of balance, it opens the door to increased stress, vulnerability to injuries, heightened agitation, sleep disturbances, a sense of disconnection from yourself and loved ones, and a loss of clarity and focus. 


Holistic wellness takes into account the intricate connection between your physical, mental, emotional and relational well-being. A foundational aspect of this approach is restoring balance to your body's energy system.


Achieving equilibrium in your energy system offers numerous benefits. It can regulate emotions, enhance emotional resilience, support a robust immune system, alleviate stress and anxiety, and foster personal growth and heightened awareness. 


A smoothly flowing energy system creates a profound sense of vitality and harmony within both the body and the mind, contributing to an overall sense of well-being.

 

Experience the calming benefits of Reiki, a traditional Japanese healing technique that gently taps into the body's natural energy fields. This method fosters relaxation, eases stress, and contributes to physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. By supporting the body's innate healing process, Reiki encourages a smooth flow of energy, aiding in internal restoration.


Rooted in centuries of diverse cultural practices, energy healing acknowledges the significance of energy fields surrounding the body. Stagnation of energy, whether from physical injuries or emotional strains, can create blocks leading to various forms of illness. A Reiki session offers a serene, relaxing experience, releasing tension and nurturing holistic healing—physically, mentally, and emotionally.


Reiki serves as a complementary practice alongside traditional counselling and medicine and is embraced in numerous hospitals and medical care settings. It helps to naturally unblock and restore the energy flow within, facilitating the body's inherent healing process.


Clients often share their appreciation for the comforting and nurturing experience of Reiki. The most common feedback includes a noticeable release of stress and a profound sense of relaxation. Reiki's effects accumulate over time, with individuals reporting progressively deeper experiences in subsequent sessions.


Beyond immediate sensations during a Reiki session, clients often observe ongoing changes throughout the day. This may manifest as a heightened sense of centeredness, reduced reactivity, and improved sleep quality in the evening.

Post-Reiki session reflections commonly include statements such as feeling refreshed and clear-minded, falling into a deep state of relaxation or sleep, noting the warmth of the practitioner's hands, surpassing the relaxation achieved through massage, relief from headaches, and an overwhelming sense of peace.

 


Reiki Wellness Sessions: A Gentle and Soothing Experience

Each session lasts approximately fifty minutes. I recommend allowing a bit of extra time, as you may want to spend some time reflecting or just being still.


Before the Session:

  • Prior to the session, take a moment to settle into the Reiki space.
  • Once you've completed your new client form, we'll engage in a friendly conversation about your Reiki needs and any intentions you have for the session. You may not have any and that's ok too. 


During the Session:

  • It's crucial to schedule your session at a time free from distractions and interruptions, ensuring you can rest afterward.
  • After explaining the process, you'll comfortably lay down fully clothed on the Reiki table, ideally in comfortable clothing, with ambient music playing.
  • During the session, I use a light, non-invasive touch or place my hands intuitively on or above specific areas of your body.
  • Your preferences matter, so please inform me beforehand if you prefer light touch or no touch.
  • Sensations like heat, temperature changes, colours, visions, or waves of sensation may occur. Falling asleep is entirely okay, as you'll still receive the full benefits of the session.
  • Most clients experience a profound sense of relaxation and peace that calms the mind and relaxes the body.


About the Session:

  • There's no typical Reiki session, no set protocols, and no predetermined outcomes.
  • In case of a specific injury, I'll avoid direct contact, holding my hands just above the affected area.
  • Energy transfer occurs as I lightly hold my hands on or over your body until intuitively sensing the energy flow has stopped.
  • You might feel heat, coolness, or energy flow during the session.


After the Session:

  • Following the session, we can chat about your experience and I can provide feedback on sending you Reiki, depending on how you're feeling.
  • Alternatively, you may choose to allow the experience to simmer and integrate.
  • Feel free to reach out when you're ready to discuss your experience.

 

Important Note: It's crucial to be aware that Reiki operates for your highest good, addressing areas it deems necessary. As a complementary therapy, Reiki energy may bring forth emotions or sensations that need attention. If this occurs, please communicate it so we can work together to support your processing. Your well-being is our priority.



For optimal well-being, Reiki Therapists warmly recommend a series of four or more weekly sessions if you're new to Reiki or it has been a while since your last treatment. This regular cadence aims to enhance your energy levels, restore balance, and facilitate integration. Following this initial series, a monthly maintenance schedule is suggested to sustain a continued sense of balance and well-being. These recommendations stem from valuable client feedback, yet feel free to schedule sessions according to your preferences—there are no strict rules. Your well-being journey is uniquely yours to shape. 


. Preparation for Reiki Session:

  • Choose an Undisturbed Time: Schedule a dedicated 50-minute slot free from interruptions or distractions.
  • Comfortable Attire: Wear comfortable clothing to enhance your relaxation experience.
  • Silence Your Phone: Ensure your phone is on mute, avoiding any vibrations during the session.
  • Open Mindset: Approach the session with an open mindset. Let go of expectations and simply be receptive to the healing Reiki energy. Allow yourself to relax fully.



  • .  What is Distance Reiki?
    • Distance Reiki is a form of energy healing where the practitioner channels healing energy to you, regardless of physical proximity. It is based on the idea that energy transcends time and space.


  • How does Distance Reiki Work?
    • Practitioners tap into the universal life force energy and direct it towards you, just as they would in an in-person session. The intention and energy connection play key roles in facilitating healing.


  • Preparing for a Distance Reiki Session:
    • Set a Quiet Space: Choose a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed during the session.
    • Relaxing Atmosphere: Create a soothing environment with soft lighting, calming music, or anything that helps you feel at ease.
    • Comfortable Attire: Wear comfortable clothing, similar to what you would choose for an in-person session.
    • Silence and Distraction-Free: Turn off your phone or any potential distractions to fully immerse yourself in the experience.
    • Open Mind and Heart: Approach the session with an open mind and heart. Release expectations and allow the energy to flow.
    • Intention Setting: Consider setting a positive intention for the session, whether it's focused on healing, relaxation, or a specific concern.
    • Receptivity: Be receptive to the energy flow and trust in the process. Allow yourself to be open to the healing energy sent by the practitioner.


Remember, Distance Reiki is a flexible and accessible way to experience the benefits of energy healing, connecting you with healing energy regardless of physical location.
