Reiki is a gentle and non-intrusive healing technique that involves the transfer of positive energy from a practitioner's hands to a recipient. The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "rei," meaning universal, and "ki," meaning life energy. In essence, Reiki is about channeling this universal life energy to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. During a session, the recipient usually lies down fully clothed, and the practitioner places their hands on or near specific energy points on the body to facilitate the flow of healing energy. Many people find Reiki sessions to be calming and rejuvenating. It's a simple yet powerful method to promote balance and support the body's natural ability to heal itself.
Sessions involve exploring challenges, applying traditional western therapeutic techniques, and incorporating Eastern practices. It's a collaborative and personalised experience.
The duration varies based on individual needs and goals, but generally an hour is a standard session for individuals and an hour and a half for couples. We'll discuss and decide on a plan that works best for you.
